About Niamh Malone

Hello and Welcome.

Discover what drives me and what you can expect from my work.

My journey into writing

My journey  began with a complex relationship with my mother. She had specific expectations for my life, and only her way seemed to matter. Through shadow work, I realised that much of my trauma didn't originate with her, but stemmed from unfulfilled circumstances of other ancestors, with a hidden narcissistic element attached.

A unique perspective

My writings are based on my own unique lived experiences of the relationship I had with my narcissistic mother. This allows me to offer clear, unique insights from a different angle, particularly when exploring original concepts on narcissism. Readers can expect to engage with work that is not only thought-provoking but also grounded in authentic experience and original thought.

What to expect from my work

When you engage with my work, you can expect a truly clear and unique insight, always approached from a different angle. I pride myself on providing original concepts, especially concerning narcissism, that challenge conventional understanding. My goal is for readers to feel that I am an interesting individual who truly knows what I am talking about.

About me

I am an Irish author, I used to work as a  Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neuro Rehabilitation.  Drawing on both professional experience and a deeply personal recovery journey following a life-changing brain haemorrhage, I am also a correspondent on emotional well-being.  I write about resilience, seeing myself as a warrior,  identity, self-worth, family relationships, and the challenges of rebuilding  my life after adversity.

I currently live on the west coast of Ireland, and love swimming in the sea in all weather, for sheer enjoyment.
